Prof.  Yusheng Ji

IEEE Fellow,  Information systems Architecture Science Research Division, National Institute of Informatics, Japan

Experience: Yusheng Ji received her B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tokyo. She had been with the National Center for Science Information Systems (NACSIS), Japan, and is currently a Professor and Director of Information Systems Architecture Science Research Division, National Institute of Informatics (NII), and a professor at the Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI), Japan. Her research interests include network traffic control, resource management, and mobile computing. She is an IEEE Fellow and a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Vehicular Technology Society. She is a co-recipient of 2021 IEEE Internet of Things Journal Best Paper Award, 2021 IEEE COMSOC Outstanding Paper Award, 2020 Best Paper Award for IEEE Open Journal of the Computer Society, etc. She is/has served as an Editor of IEEE Transactions of Vehicular Technology, Associate Editor of IEEE Vehicular Technology Magazine, TPC Co-chair of IEEE INFOCOM 2023, General Co-chair of MSN2020, ICT-DM 2018, Symposium Co-chair of IEEE ICC 2020, IEEE GLOBECOM 2012 and 2014, Track Co-chair of IEEE VTC 2016 Fall and 2017 Fall, and TPC member of IEEE ICC, GLOBECOM, WCNC, etc.

Prof. Wlodzislaw Duch

Nicolaus Copernicus University, Poland, INNS Fellow, AAIA Fellow

Experience: Wlodzislaw Duch is the head of the Neurocognitive Laboratory in the Center of Modern Interdisciplinary Technologies, and the Neuroinformatics and Artificial Intelligence group in the University Centre of Excellence Dynamics, Mathematical Analysis and Artificial Intelligence at the Nicolaus Copernicus University, Torun, Poland. PhD in theoretical physics/quantum chemistry (1980), postdoc at the Univ. of Southern California, Los Angeles (1980-82), D.Sc. in applied math (1987). President of the European Neural Networks Society executive committee (2006-2008-2011), Fellow of the International Neural Network Society (2013), and the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (2022), Expert of the European Union science programs, member of the high-level expert group of European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT). Worked in the School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (2003-07, 2010-12 as the Nanyang Visiting Professor), served as a deputy minister for science and higher education in Poland (2014-15), Visiting professor at the University of Florida; Max-Planck-Institute, Munich, Germany, Kyushu Institute of Technology, Meiji and Rikkyo University in Japan, and several other institutions. He is/was on the editorial board of IEEE TNN, CPC, NIP-LR, Journal of Mind and Behavior, and 16 other journals; published over 375 peer-reviewed scientific papers, has written or co-authored 6 books and co-edited 21 books, and published over 290 conference abstracts and popular articles on diverse subjects. His DuchSoft company has made in 1990 the GhostMiner data mining software package, for many years marketed by Fujitsu. With a wide background in many branches of science and understanding of different cultures he bridges many scientific communities.

Prof. Kamran Iqbal

University of Arkansas at Little Rock, USA

Experience: Professor Kamran Iqbal obtained his BE in Aeronautical Engineering from NED University, and his MS, MBA and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Ohio State University. He has held academic appointments at College or Aeronautical Engineering, GIK Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Northwestern University, California State University at Fullerton, University of California, Riverside, University of California, Irvine, and University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he currently serves as Professor of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering. His research interests include neuromechanics and motor control of human movement, biomedical signal and image processing, renewable energy, mechatronics, and machine learning. He is a senior life member of IEEE (USA), and member of IET (UK). He has regularly served as program evaluator for ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission. He is author of three monographs, 50 journal papers and over 100 conference publications.

Prof. (Kit) Kai-Kit Wong

IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, University College London, United Kingdom

Experience: Kai-Kit Wong (M'01-SM'08-F'16) received the BEng, the MPhil, and the PhD degrees, all in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong, in 1996, 1998, and 2001, respectively. After graduation, he took up academic and research positions at the University of Hong Kong, Lucent Technologies, Bell-Labs, Holmdel, the Smart Antennas Research Group of Stanford University, and the University of Hull, UK. He is Chair in Wireless Communications at the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, University College London, UK. His current research centers around 5G and beyond mobile communications. He is a co-recipient of the 2013 IEEE Signal Processing Letters Best Paper Award and the 2000 IEEE VTS Japan Chapter Award at the IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference in Japan in 2000, and a few other international best paper awards. He is Fellow of IEEE and IET and is also on the editorial board of several international journals. He is the Editor-in-Chief for IEEE Wireless Communications Letters since 2020.

Prof. Zheng Hong (George) Zhu

College Member of the RSC, Fellow of the CAE, EIC, CSME, ASME, Associate fellow of AIAA, York University, Canada

Experience: Dr. George Zhu is a Professor and Tier 1 York Research Chair in Space Technology in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at York University in Toronto, Canada. He served as the inaugural Academic Director of Research Commons (2019-2022) in the Office of Vice-President of Research and Innovation. His research includes the dynamics and control of tethered spacecraft, autonomous space robotics, visual servo, CubeSat, and additive manufacturing in space. He has published over 350 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. Currently, he is an elected member of the International Academy of Astronautics; College Member of the Royal Society of Canada; Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Canada; Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada, Canadian Society of Mechanical Engineering, and Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers; and Associate fellow of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Dr. Zhu is the receipt of the 2021 York University President’s Research Excellence Awards, the 2021 Robert W. Angus Medal from the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering, the 2019 Engineering Medal – R&D from the Professional Engineers Ontario, Canada.
